While painting may be imagined by some people as the seemingly very simple process of applying some paint on a surface with a brush–which is true in a sense, since this is the generic definition of painting–the painting trade involves lots of different trade secrets and techniques, and different brushes, paints, and other tools and equipment, that make a huge difference in the quality of the painting job and achieving the desired result.
